Take a cruise along Lake Windermere where elegant lake steamers depart from Bowness to the pretty village of Ambleside or Lakeside. At Lakeside you can visit the Aquarium of the Lakes and ride on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Steam Railway. The scenery in the Lake District is unsurpassed in England. Walkers can enjoy high and low level walks on either side of the lake or combine a boat trip and walk.
